07.45 Departure from Tropea to Stromboli. This is an active volcano with two craters fromed of andesetic, old lava and basaltic lava. The highest crater is called crest Vancora. Between these both craters there is a ditch at 750m. above the sea with eruptive mouths that are always active. You will have the opportunity to see how lapilli and incandecent material falls from the craters along a wall called "Sciara di Fuoco".

11.15 Departure from Stromboli to Panarea, where you pass along the coast. Panarea is the smallest Island of the Eolian Islands and is famous for the prehistoric village on the promontory that dates back to the Bronze Age (XIV - XIII century B.C.). The village is composed of oval-shaped huts, except one, which is retangular and shelderet by surrounding grindstone and stones of mortar. You will next arrive at Lipari, the most important Island and the commercial centre of the Eolian Islands. Along the coast there are many reefs and caves. In particular interesting caves of pumicestone form the stratums of red cliffs. Also of interest is the museum divided into sections with exhibits of the IV and III millenium BC, others from bronze age 2000-1400 BC., ceramics dated 1400-1250 BC etc. The lanes and shops of the Island ca be explored individually.

15.15 Departure for Vulcano, in ancient times called Thermes, Theresia, Hiera, isola di Vulcano or Efisto. According to legend it was once the dwelling of Aolus, the God of the winds. The Levant bay is interesting for the fumarolic activities where the submarine thermal sources (warm waters) and the natural mud (sulphureous) possess exceptionally effective therapeutic properties for rheumatisms and circulatory-diseases.
